What to send for a fast quote

Slope protection orders depend on finished block shape, thickness, interlocking method and project installation environment.

  • Finished block length, width, thickness and opening/interlock size
  • Block type and whether it is solid, half-I, I-shaped, hollow, dovetail or interlocking
  • Application: river bank, canal, highway side slope, railway embankment, reservoir or drainage project
  • Logo, letters, anti-slip texture or surface pattern requirements
  • Quantity, destination country and mixed-size packing requirements

Stepped & I-Shaped Slope Block Mould Buyer Guide

I-shaped (also called dogbone or H-shaped) slope blocks lock into each other along the slope by shape alone, which is why they are specified where a plain rectangular block would slide. This page holds 11 sizes from 26 to 50 cm long.

I-shaped vs half-I: what actually differs

  • Full I-shaped block: waisted on both sides, so it keys into neighbours on all four edges. Used across the main slope field.
  • Half-I block: waisted on one side and straight on the other. It is the edge and closing piece — you order it alongside the full block, not instead of it.
  • Interlocking I-shaped block: I-profile plus tongue-and-groove edges and open grass-planting voids, for slopes that need both mechanical keying and vegetation.

Three things buyers get wrong

  • Ordering only the full block. Every slope has edges. If you order 100% full I-blocks you will be cutting them on site to close the boundary. Work out the half-I quantity from the slope perimeter at drawing stage.
  • Reading the quoted size as the finished paved module. An I-shaped block interlocks, so the laid centre-to-centre spacing is smaller than the block's overall length. Ask for the laying module if you are calculating blocks per m².
  • Assuming same face size means interchangeable. This page has 40 × 30 cm blocks at 10, 12 and 15 cm thick, and two 50 × 30 × 10 cm blocks of different profile (I and half-I). Same footprint, different mould, different product.

Stepped Slope Block Moulds FAQ

What is a stepped slope block mould used for?

It is used to precast I-shaped or half-I concrete blocks for slope protection, river-bank revetment and embankment erosion control.

Can you make the mould from our drawing?

Yes. Send the finished block drawing, size, thickness and site application; we can review catalogue matching or OEM mould feasibility.

Can the block size be customized?

Yes. Length, width, thickness, interlocking details and surface patterns can be customized when the mould structure allows.
