A permeable or grass paver mould casts a hollow unit with through holes: after laying, the holes are filled with soil and grass (or gravel), so the surface stays green while carrying light traffic — typical for parking bays, fire access lanes and sponge-city projects. In this catalogue only the hexagonal units (outer 12.5/13.5 cm with 5/5.5 cm inner holes) and the 48×24×8 cm serrated slab with two through holes are hollow; the shaped and patterned pavers are solid.
Yes — that is why they are called colored paver moulds. Iron-oxide pigment is mixed into the concrete before pouring (or a pigmented wear-course layer is poured first, then the base concrete). Smooth ABS/PP faces release cleanly so the color stays even. White cement gives brighter pastel tones; grey cement with pigment gives deeper reds, yellows and greens.
For solid pavers it is length x width x thickness in centimetres. For permeable hexagons, the outer measurement is the hexagon's overall size (opposite-flat distance) and the inner measurement is the planting/drainage hole — a 12.5/5 unit has a 12.5 cm body with a 5 cm hole. Thin 2–3 cm units are overlay/veneer pavers for resurfacing existing pavements, not heavy-duty slabs.
For driveways and fire lanes use hollow grass-grid/permeable units (filled and compacted) or thick interlocking I/H-shaped pavers (24–30 cm, 6 cm thick) whose joints transfer load. Footways, plazas and courtyards can use the decorative shaped and patterned pavers — clover, crescent, bow, diamond, maple-leaf and the four-piece flower patterns are designed to be combined into layouts, not to carry vehicle loads.
Each tile carries one quarter of the motif; four tiles laid together form one complete flower. Order in multiples of four pieces per full motif and plan the layout before pouring so the pattern direction is consistent. The same applies to the Spanish-style and double-fan continuous patterns.
Tactile (blister/strip) pavers guide visually impaired pedestrians: raised dots (blister/warning tiles) mark hazards, stops and turns; long strips (directional tiles) mark the safe walking line. They are mandatory on municipal sidewalks, stations and public buildings. We supply both types in 20 × 20 × 6 cm and 25 × 25 × 5 cm in PP; color is usually bright yellow.
It is the number of finished tiles one mould casts per pour — a 1-out-9 rough-stone mould makes nine 10 × 10 cm tiles in a single cycle. More cavities mean lower cost per tile for high-volume items. Compare quotes per finished tile and per daily output, not per mould.
PP (polypropylene) is the default and handles 150+ pour cycles with good flexibility for demoulding. ABS is chosen where deep crisp patterns, sharp arrises or textured faces (rough-stone, fine anti-slip grooves) must stay precise over many cycles — the fine detail releases more sharply in ABS.
