What is a cobblestone-pattern drainage cover mould?
It is a plastic (PP/ABS) injection mould that casts a concrete trench or ditch cover with a raised cobblestone/pebble surface (鹅卵石花纹). The finished cover is a functional drain cover for cable trenches, roadside ditches and landscape channels, but the cobblestone texture looks like stone paving and adds slip resistance — so it is widely used in parks, garden paths, residential communities and municipal 'green' projects where a plain flat cover would look out of place.
Are these covers only decorative / light duty?
No. The cobblestone pattern is a surface finish, not a sign of light duty. The same pattern is made in thin 2.5–5cm pedestrian panels for garden paths AND in thick 6–10cm heavy-duty covers, including 铁标 (railway-standard, 'Tie Biao') covers for high-speed-rail and metro cable trenches that are walked on by maintenance crews. Load capacity is set by thickness and reinforcement, not by the pattern. Tell us the application (footpath / roadside / track-side) and we recommend the thickness.
What is the difference between plain, notched and 2-hole/4-hole covers?
Plain (solid) covers fully close the trench. Notched covers (缺口盖板) have a cut-out on one edge where a pipe or cable crosses the trench — there are middle-notched and end-notched versions; quote the notch size (e.g. 20×1.5cm or 30×1.5cm) and whether it is on the middle of a run or at the end. 2-hole / 4-hole covers (二孔/四孔) have drainage openings for higher stormwater flow, used where the trench itself drains surface water. Choose by whether the trench carries cables (solid/notched) or water (perforated).
What are railway-standard (铁标 / Tie Biao) cobblestone covers?
These are covers produced to Chinese railway-project standards, often marked '铁标' and a factory/source mark such as '广工' (Guang Gong). They are used along high-speed-rail and metro lines for cable-trench covers and walkway slabs — typically the long narrow sizes (e.g. 98×19, 98×24, 148×19, 152×24cm) in thicker 7–8cm sections, moulded in ABS or heavy PP for stiffness and long service. We can produce to a railway project drawing or standard; send the spec sheet or project standard.
What are the walkway slabs and curved / metro platform plates?
The long narrow walkway/step slabs (步板, e.g. 98×25×8, 98×50×8, 158×25×8) are the walking-surface plates along track-side and cable trenches. Curved walkway/step slabs (弧形踏步板/步行板, e.g. the Zheng-Fu high-speed-rail items, 86×73.5/61cm and 73×61×30cm) follow a curved or ramped trench alignment. The metro evacuation-platform plate (地铁疏散平台, 99cm) is a special one-mould-three-width plate producing 24.5/19.5/14.5/9.5cm widths from a single mould set — quote the platform cross-section.
How do I specify a custom or project cover (Jing-Zhang, Yunping, Weilai, CECEP)?
Many of these covers were made for named projects — e.g. Jing-Zhang HSR (京张, thin 44.4×49.4×2.8), Yunping expressway (云平高速, notched 71×49×8), Weilai HSR (潍莱, 95×30×6), CECEP (中国节能, 170×50×4). For your own project send: the cover length × width × thickness, whether it is plain/notched/perforated (with notch or hole dimensions), the load/application, the required surface pattern, and any standard it must meet. We confirm the mould design and demoulding before tooling.
Which material — PP or ABS — and how many pours?
Standard 6–8cm covers in PP give 150+ pour cycles and are the economical choice for most landscape and municipal runs. ABS is used for the thin stiff panels (2.5–5cm large-format covers like 75×50×3.5 and 121.5×50×3, which would flex in PP), for railway-standard covers, and for deeply-profiled cobblestone texture that needs sharper detail release. We recommend the material based on size, thickness and pattern depth.
