Why the notch matters for pricing

A notch changes the mould, not just the concrete. The notch must have draft on every face or the cast slab locks in and the corner chips on release. Because of that, a notched version of the same nominal cover size is a different mould, not an option on an existing one.

Confirm notch dimensions in the format width × depth, e.g. 15×1.5cm.
State whether the top face is smooth, or needs a light broom or anti-slip finish.
For ditch lines, order the base slab and cover as a matched pair so the seat lines up.
