A notch changes the mould, not just the concrete. The notch must have draft on every face or the cast slab locks in and the corner chips on release. Because of that, a notched version of the same nominal cover size is a different mould, not an option on an existing one.

No. They are functional concrete drainage covers with a flat, smooth top. The cover carries pedestrian or light-vehicle load and can be cast flush with surrounding paving for a clean finish.
A flat cover rests flat on the channel or frame. A notched cover has a recessed shoulder (for example 15×1.5cm or 25×1.5cm) that seats onto the ditch edge or frame lip, so it cannot slide sideways and stays flush. Double-notch covers (78×40×6cm class) seat on both ends for wide spans.
Give the notch as width × depth in cm, and tell us how many ends are notched (one or both). The notch must match your channel shoulder or frame lip — if it is too wide the cover rocks, too narrow and it will not seat. Send a photo of the channel edge if you are unsure.
It has a shaped recess in the top face (such as 17×2.5cm) that acts as a hand grip, so maintenance crews can lift the cover without a separate hook. Sizes 60×40×8 and 64×40×8cm are typical for access points that need frequent opening.

The cover also needs steel mesh or rebar inside for vehicle loads; the mould forms the concrete shape but reinforcement is placed during casting.
For ditch lines, yes. The cover seat and the channel shoulder have to line up, so order the U-channel or base-slab mould and the cover mould together. Buying them separately from different mould sets is the most common cause of covers that do not seat.
