Dot-Pattern Drainage Cover Moulds — 26 qualified moulds

Raised round studs (圆点) form an anti-slip walking surface on cable-trench and drainage covers — the dominant choice for kilometres-long railway tunnel and expressway trenches walked by maintenance crews. Below: the Hangshaotai HST high-speed-railway tunnel series, thin notched walkway covers, expressway-authority project covers, and Tie Biao / named-railway standard slabs. Dimensions are length × width × thickness (cm); notch sizes are noted where the cover drops over a crossing cable.

Hangshaotai High-Speed-Railway Tunnel Dot-Pattern Cover Moulds (HST series) (11 moulds)

Project-standard dot-pattern covers for the Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou high-speed-railway tunnel cable trenches (杭绍台隧道盖板, HST project). Several carry an edge notch (缺口 25-28cm × 1.5cm) where a cable crosses the trench at the cover point.

Thin Notched Dot-Pattern Cover Moulds (2.5-3.2cm, pedestrian & light duty) (5 moulds)

Thin 2.5-3.2cm dot-pattern covers with an edge notch for cable/pipe crossing — light pedestrian/maintenance walkway service trenches; several in ABS for a stiff thin slab.

Expressway-Project Dot-Pattern Cover Moulds (ABS thin authority covers) (5 moulds)

Expressway and transport-authority project covers with dot-pattern anti-slip top: Guizhou expressway (ABS), Baohu expressway and Wenma expressway — thin 2.5-3cm sections made in ABS.

Railway-Standard Dot-Pattern Cover Moulds (Tie Biao, Qian-Zhang-Chang, Yu-Huai) (5 moulds)

Railway-standard (Tie Biao 铁标) and named-railway dot covers: Qianjiang-Zhangjiajie-Changde (黔张常) and Chongqing-Huaihua (渝怀) railway cable-trench covers, plus the 80×50×8 high-speed-rail notched dot cover and the 120×49×10 extra-long Tie Biao slab.

Dot-Pattern Cover Mould Buyer Guide

Pick the dot cover by the trench standard (railway tunnel / Tie Biao / expressway / walkway), then by thickness for the load and PP-or-ABS for the panel size. Notch only where a cable crosses.

Four cover groups on this page

  • Hangshaotai HST tunnel series (11): 42×40×6 to 79.4×49.4×6 high-speed-railway tunnel cable-trench covers, some notched, HST/T2H marks.
  • Notched dot covers (5): thin 2.5-3.2cm pedestrian walkway slabs with an edge notch 28×1.5cm for cable crossing, plus the 80×50×8 high-speed-rail notched cover.
  • Expressway project (5): Guizhou/Baohu/Wenma and Guiyang-ring covers, thin 2.5-3cm sections mostly in ABS.
  • Railway standard (5): Tie Biao slabs incl. 120×49×10 extra-long, Qian-Zhang-Chang and Yu-Huai railway covers, 6-10cm.

Three things buyers get wrong

  • Ordering a 2.5cm walkway slab for a trackside/roadside trench. Pattern does not set load — thickness and reinforcement do. Trackside trenches need the 6-10cm covers; the 2.5-3cm panels are pedestrian only.
  • Cutting the notch on site. A notch sawn into a finished cover breaks the studded edge and loses the piece — order it moulded, quoting notch width × depth and middle/end position.
  • Asking for a thin 70-80cm panel in PP. Large 2.5-3cm slabs warp in PP; the expressway covers are ABS for a flat panel and sharp stud release. We confirm material by size.

Dot-Pattern Drainage Cover Mould FAQ

What is a dot-pattern drainage cover mould?

It is a plastic (PP/ABS) injection mould for a precast concrete trench or ditch cover whose top is formed with a field of raised round studs (圆点). The dots give an anti-slip walking surface and a hard-wearing, easily recognised finish — standard on cable-trench and drainage covers beside railway tunnels, expressways, walkways and maintenance corridors. They are the studded sibling of striped and cobblestone-pattern covers.

Why are so many dot-pattern covers used on railway and tunnel cable trenches?

Railway and high-speed-railway tunnel cable trenches run for kilometres beside the track and are walked by maintenance staff, so the cover needs a visible anti-slip surface, a long straight section and a project-standard mark. This catalogue is dominated by exactly that tooling: the Hangshaotai high-speed-railway tunnel series (杭绍台, 42×40×6 up to 79.4×49.4×6, some stamped HST-T2H), Tie Biao railway-standard covers (铁标, incl. an extra-long 120×49×10 slab), Qian-Zhang-Chang and Yu-Huai railway covers, and the 80×50×8 high-speed-rail notched dot cover. Send your railway line/standard and drawing for a matched set.

What do the HST / Tie Biao / project marks on the covers mean?

These are project or standard identifiers cast or printed on the slab: HST marks the Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou high-speed-railway project (some pieces also carry section codes such as T2H), and Tie Biao (铁标) means the cover is made to the railway industry standard rather than to a single project. Highway pieces carry authority names — Guizhou expressway (贵州高速, ABS), Baohu (保沪), Wenma (文马) and the Guiyang southwest ring. We can form your project name, line code, standard number or logo in the mould; send the mark with the drawing.

Some of these covers have a notch (缺口) — why?

The edge notch lets a cable or pipe cross the trench at that cover position instead of going under the slab — the cover drops over the crossing line. On this page the notched dot covers include the HST tunnel pieces (notch ~25×1.5cm), the thin 2.5-3.2cm walkway covers (notch 28×1.5cm: 59×50×2.5, 61×49×3.2, 71×49×3.2, 81×49×3.2) and the 80×50×8 high-speed-rail piece. Quote the notch width × depth and its position (middle of a run or at the end); a notch cut on site after casting breaks the edge and ruins the piece. See the full notched range here.

Thin 2.5-3cm covers vs 6-10cm covers — which do I need?

Thickness follows the load on top, not the pattern. 2.5-3.2cm dot covers (59×50×2.5 through 81×49×3.2, plus the ABS expressway 70×49×2.5/73×49×2.5/78×49×2.5) are pedestrian/maintenance-walkway slabs; the large thin ones are made in ABS so the panel stays straight. 6-10cm covers (the 6cm HST and Tie Biao series, 78×40×7, 80×50×8 and the 120×49×10 extra-long Tie Biao slab) take trackside/roadside and occasional-vehicle loads. Load class is set by thickness and reinforcement — tell us the application and we confirm the section.

PP or ABS — what are these moulds made from?

Most standard 6cm railway covers use PP, which gives 150+ pour cycles and is the economical choice for long project runs. The thin large panels are typically ABS (e.g. the 70×49×2.5 Guizhou expressway cover) because ABS holds a flat 2.5-3cm section without warping and gives sharper dot texture release; ABS is also chosen for extra-long slabs (120cm) where stiffness matters. State PP or ABS with the inquiry, or let us recommend by size and thickness.

Can you make dot-pattern covers to our railway or expressway drawing?

Yes — project tooling is a core part of this range. Beyond the catalogue HST, Tie Biao, Qian-Zhang-Chang, Yu-Huai, Guizhou/Baohu/Wenma and Guiyang-ring pieces, we build moulds from customer drawings: send the cover L×W×T, the dot-pattern requirement, any notch (size + position), the load/application, the project mark or standard number, and whether PP or ABS. We confirm mould design, demoulding draft and the matching channel seat before cutting.

MOQ, lead time and how to order?

Catalogue moulds carry no strict MOQ across mixed SKUs; custom railway/highway project moulds are made to order in roughly 15-30 days after drawing approval. For a quote send the drawing or a marked sample photo, cover quantities, destination port and packing preference — FOB Ningbo/Shanghai. Fastest way: WhatsApp a photo of the cover you want to match (with the project mark if any) and we confirm the nearest catalogue size or quote an OEM mould.
